RULES OF POKER

Game Description

A standard deck of 52 playing cards is used in Texas Hold’em with Player positions from 1 to 7 at the table. To participate in the game, Players must make a wager on the ante box and may choose to place an optional bonus bet. Following the Dealers announcement of “No more bets”, Players may not touch, adjust or add to their initial wager.

Should there be empty boxes at the table, Players may wager on more than one box, however subsequent boxes must be played blind, i.e. place the appropriate ante and bet wager prior to the initial deal equal to their open hand and the identity of their hand will only be revealed during the final settlement.

The Dealer shall deal two face down cards to each Player position in turn and two cards face down to the Dealer, then using cards from the top of the deck, deal 3 cards face up in the centre of the layout (the Flop). The Dealer will then pass the cards to the Player, who may now view their hand and decide to either place a call or fold their cards.

The bonus is a separate Player wager placed prior to the initial deal, which wins should the Player qualify with a pair of Aces or a higher using their two cards and the flop; the winning hands are opened and paid 7-1 odds by the Dealer. Bonus wagers shall lose if the Player hand is less than a pair Aces.

Players may not exchange or communicate information about their cards to other Players at the table.

Should a Player choose to withdraw from the game (pass), they will forfeit their ante.

Players choosing to remain in the hand must place a wager equal to twice the amount of their initial ante, in the box marked “Call”.

After a Player has made their decision, they may not touch their cards or wagers.

Following Players making their final decisions, the Dealer shall now deal two more cards face up and reveal their cards. Each Player and the Dealer now hold seven cards i.e. five layout cards and their two – from which they shall construct the best five-card combination. Having revealed their cards, the Dealer will compare their hand against the Player hands, commencing with the last box. The Dealer will qualify with a pair of 4’s of higher.

Player hand combinations lower than the Dealer hand shall lose. Player hand combinations higher than the Dealer hand are paid according to the payout table. If the Players hand combination is equal to the Dealer hand, the winner is determined by highest card remaining in the hand. All suits are equal, and the range of a card is determined in the following order:

Except in the case where the Ace ranks as the lowest card.

Should the Dealer fail to make a qualifying hand combination, the Bet is not paid. The Ante paid according to the Payout Table.

Maximum payout of a table

The total payout for the box combination may not exceed the maximum payout of a table.
